The partially re-instated track layout at Eastleigh, with platform 2 back into usage for Southampton bound traffic. While 444036 runs through a slack in the Up direction, 66505 departs with 4O14 05:00 Garston - Maritime on 27th.

66587 AS ONE WE CAN passing Romsey with 4O57 13:29 Wentloog - Maritime on 28th, which earlier worked through the slip area at Milford. The following stone train ended up delayed by the better part of an hour, and consequently passed through after dark.

Pacer 141108 has been at Eastleigh Works for a couple of weeks, and is understood to be present for a repaint.

150001 and 150002, the prototype Sprinter units, are leaving GWR to go to Northern after the end of March. Given the blockage, we will not be seeing them on the South Coast again. GWR are organising a GWR135 charity tour on 28th March.

A last look, 150002 at St Denys on 17th January.

There are suggestions that there is a shortage of containers at this end of of the logistics chains from Asia, and these may lead to lean loadings and cancellations of intermodal services.

The Redbridge siding extensions are now reported to be available for use.
