There were two RBRs adjacent to each other in the consist, 1671 and 1657 The latter, seen here, is ex-works from Eastleigh, where it had been through overhaul, following storage by DRS there in the 2009 period - it was present at the 2009 open day. Built by Pressed Steel at Linwood to Lot 30628, it entered traffic in 1960. It was withdrawn in May 1991, spent some time at Llangollen, then returned to mainline use in November 2004 operating with Fragonset in their Blue Pullman, later with Stobart / DRS. After further ownership changes it is now with Riviera, and this may be a first day out in close to a decade.

59003, 57003 and 73110 are seen at Eastleigh on 17th. Looking at the red painted springs on 57003, this may have had a rapid turnaround for a bogie change, so may be returning north Wednesday 20th? [Update 23rd September: 57003 has been stored in pool XHSS (DRS Locomotives Stored), it was in Eastleigh for overhaul in March 2014 - November 2015, so would only appear to have been at a mid-life point]
