800309, which entered the Works on 5th September, has the full repair above the yaw damper and jack point, and awaits cosmetic attention, seen on 2nd November.

395008, which overran at Ramsgate in 2024, may be coming to Eastleigh Works to complete repairs, two coaches are at Western Docks. The other coaches are at Ashford.

99961 (E324E) which was previously State Car No. 1 in the 'Royal Scotsman' until April 2024, was delivered to Eastleigh East Yard on 6th, with transfer to the Works on 7th, 5Z12 12:40 Eastleigh East Yard - Eastleigh Arlington. Also one other, likely 99964 (E313E) formerly State Car No. 4, which was replaced at the start of the 2025 season, both moved to the Works on Friday one two.

08721 has arrived at Eastleigh Works one two, it previously departed in 2015.

Class 455 will come out of traffic on 21st December, when there will be a Farewell Tour.

Class 93 - Freightliner Intermodal have started a trial on Mossend traffic.

455735 was dragged to Newport for disposal, on 5th November. Seen on 29th May 2024.

Also sent for disposal was 455864, seen at St Denys on 11th May 2021. Both of these units were in traffic on 3rd.

59205 6O68 09:11 Westbury Tarmac - Crawley, which ran late through the Test Valley and then was held at Eastleigh East Junction to go forward one hour late. A 'Romsey Rocket' was cancelled short at and resumed from Eastleigh at 11:20.

68026 and Chiltern Sets, Eastleigh, 2nd November 2025

DBSO 12803 leads set TP03, which arrived on 31st October behind 37800 on 5Q87.

68026, seen for the first time in Chiltern colours, pushed set TP03 down to the long sheds, where another unidentified set was already present.

The uncoupling operation took time, and 68026 returned ...


... to couple up to newly vinyled set CH06, which had arrived at Eastleigh on 21st October behind 37608.

Observations at Eastleigh, 30th October 2025

 

800306 appeared to be completed for cosmetic work at Eastleigh Works, having lost the Remembrance scheme it carried upon arrival on 10th October.

47727 ran around 701014 in the yard, and then heaaded for South Junction and into the T&RSMD.

47727 then ran 0Z88 13:30 Eastleigh - Selhurst.

70007 departs Eastleigh Works, 30th October 2025

I was told on the platform at Eastleigh, that 70007 was outside at the Works, so I walked around. I didn't know that it was about to depart.

70007 lying outside at Eastleigh Works. Significantly, there is no branding on the locomotive, which is expected to be assigned to the 'Heavy Haul' entity after the acquisition of Freightliner Intermodal by CMA-CGM.


Closer detail of 70007, which had been in the Works since late June, and the 15 year old locomotive is understood to have received significant corrosion repairs.


70007 moves off the Works, running as an ad hoc 0Z70 to Maritime.

Not the only 0Z70 on the Eastleigh Signaller's Diagram, 70811 was in the Dean area working Westbury - Eastleigh at the same time. 

Having reversed in platform 3, 70007 then proceeded to Maritime.
