67027, now nameless in a GBRf livery, + 70802 were to move as 0Z30 09:00 Eastleigh - Rugby on Friday, but were failed with a brake problem. 701031 lay alongside. 70802 spent a week at Eastleigh yard, and is status T "Awaiting transfer or is en route to a TMD for repair/maintenance". Saturday update: 70802 in same position, 67027 visible in shed, to receive attention.

12:29: 66848 leading 6O41 10:14 Westbury - Eastleigh, running 1 hour late. This is normally worked by a GBRf loco, but 66848 continued with the return to Westbury - elsewhere reported as hired in..

At the same time, DRS 66423 worked into the station 0Z30 12:00 Eastleigh - Westbury. 

66423 had worked to Whitemoor GBRf on 21st, then to Hoo, 0Y44 to Eastleigh 22nd, followed by this working and then 0B30 to Cardiff Tidal. Also reported as hired to GBRf.

12:35 73962 Dick Mabbutt leads the six monthly test train for the Fawley and Ludgershall branches, 1Q99 11:08 Woking - Woking, previously 1Q22.

60 years old 37602 of Harry Needle Railroad Co. has been moved in the yard at Eastleigh Works, this may be in preparation for an anticipated move to the East Yard for road transfer.

81.70.5932.459-7  and, to the right, 81.70.5932.460-5 are the last of  the Wascosa / Network Rail MLA order. These arrived from Dollands Moor on 30th January.

Volker Rail Kirow 125t crane DRK 81613 had arrived from Hoo.

A pair of dinosaurs. VTG 3453 was  the JNA wagon making up the consist of 6V62 on the 15th, seen under the Southern Railway Exmouth Junction Concrete Works pattern footbridge between Archers Road and Beaulieu Road and The Quadrangle, which was designed in 1924, and repaired in 1998 and 2012. There is a model of this classic design. A replacement was priced at over £1m in 2003.

VTG 3453 is rather younger, rebuilt by Marcroft in 1998 from 1971 built TEA tanker 82644.

47739, which recently made two visits to this area for Class 701 moves to Marchwood, is now at UK Rail Leasing, Loughborough for attention to tyres, which were at minima.

Recently imported 66306 is expected from Doncaster at Eastleigh Works for painting. A path was in on Friday 17th, but did not run.
