47739 was new in August 1964 as D1615 ,, from BR Crewe, to 85A Worcester, later 47035 and 47594.

Light conditions were poor, later just near dark, with precipitation. My first bag of 70020 solo in the new scheme. The Mountfield rake of wagons were again parked in Millbrook Yard.

6O41 Westbury - Eastleigh, Romsey, 4th December 2024

 

66732 GBRf The First Decade 1999 - 2009 John Smith - MD + 66736 Wolverhampton Wanderers + 66734 PLATINUM JUBILEE 6O41 10:14 Westbury - Eastleigh Yard.

The consist was mainly FEA-W flats, but also included two 'Salmon' KFAs, a wagon type seen less often since Freightliner stopped using them. This is TIPH 93416, built by Rautaruukki, Finland in 1987-88, which was in a post-overhaul condition in GBRf intermodal service in summer 2022.

The second was TIPH 93477, which was overhauled at Eastleigh, arriving 28th March 2020. LTSV also shows that this was in intermodal usage from 2020 -2022.

Eastleigh Works, 3rd December 2024

 

TF 41059 (BREL Derby,  Lot 30896, 1977-78) came onto the Works on 23rd September, and now appears to be outside upon completion of activity.


485405 was receiving attention, there is some anticipation of a move back to Widnes. 68504 in the foreground.

DRS PFA wagons DRSL 92723 (above), 92731 and 92801 (below) appear to have completed overhaul, so a DRS working can be anticipated soon. The first two arrived on 23rd November 2023, and the latter on 14th July 2023.

802015, with fresh paint, came out first 5X80 11:41 Eastleigh Works Gbrf - Eastleigh Works Gbrf, and was turned around in platform 2, returning to the Works.


802015 in platform 2, while the crew walked through the train.


802114 then came out, also 5X80, with unit number in windscreen, as the unit was partially rubbed down for paintwork, and missing many unit and coach numbers.


802015 then came out of the Works for a second time 5X81 12:30 Eastleigh Works Gbrf - Reading, although by this time it was 13:41.
