Colas operated cement empties, Aberdour, 23rd December 2019


The last cement working of the year to Aberdeen. 70808 had worked north from Eastleigh on 9th - 11th December, and returned south immediately after this working with 70802 and 70806 as 0C25 2301 Oxwellmains Lafarge Colas to Westbury Down T.C.

The empty JPA and PCA wagons are worked south by 70808, passing the Christmas tree in the signal box at Aberdour.

This section of railway dates from only from 1890, built to connect from Burntisland to Inverkeithing for the Forth Bridge.
