A ride on the Battlefield Line, 16th October 2022

D8110 (20110) runs through Shackerstone station before working the first train of the day. 20110 spent much of its BR career in Scotland, but eluded me. In 2009, it appeared at the Eastleigh Works open day, when in the care of South Devon Diesel Traction,  and now appears to be in the ownership of HNRC, who in 2016 considered it as a commercial asset.

20110 running around at Shenton.

At Market Bosworth, this is Class 02 D2867. Withdrawn from BR service at Chester, in September 1970, it then had an industrial career with Redland Roadstone one two, before going to the Meadowhall preservation site, in 1995, and on to the Battlefield Line in 2001.

45014 (D14) has now been stripped of some parts for other Class 45 projects.

At Shackerstone, 20110 awaits another southbound run.
