Crampmoor, 4th May 2020

Two workings, one after another, passing Crampmoor, pictures taken while on a single daily exercise on foot.

66607 + 370179 + 370038 + 370135 + 370037 + 370111 + 370162 + 370011 6O89 08:47 East Usk Yard - Maritime; 6V89 14:25 Maritime - East Usk Yard. Both workings ran 1½ - 2 hours early while in this area. This appears to have been a working of HHA hopper wagons to twice pass by the Swaythling acoustic detector.

I am not sure where the HHAs came from, given that there is limited coal movement today. East Usk appears to see some of these in aggregates traffic such as 6B91 from Hayes & Harlington, and 6V55 from Radlett, which seem originate with gritstone from Moreton-on-Lugg. 66607 was noted on such workings last week, but not apparently with these wagons.

66607 leads the seven hoppers out of Romsey. Further pictures of the working.

HHA 370038 was built by Greenbrier in 2000-06, and I had previously seen this on a Redcar - Fiddlers Ferry working in 2018.

370011 on the rear of the train. Regrettably, this wagon was in the consist of the coal train in the Great Heck accident on 28th February 2001.

70814 + 66848 followed with 0Y69 09:14 Westbury - Eastleigh Works.
