35018 on The Bournemouth Express, 3rd July 2021

35018 British India Line + 47245 V.E. Day 75th Anniversary

47245 on the rear. As D1922 this locomotive was working from Eastleigh in the period of the end of Southern Steam in 1967.

The ornamental floral bikes, on each platform, are former Royal Mail examples.


47245 again on the rear, having led from Weymouth - Southampton. The driver of 158885 deliberately slowed to allow the photographers on the opposite platform to get a front end shot.

3325 and 41183 lie outside, with a HST coach in the paintshop, for the 'Staycation Express'.



07007, 319380, 73107 (into works 1st June, back to Tonbridge 1st July) and 319373.

Partially stripped 40707 and 08507.


The distinctive roof ribs show that 317722 is now being scrapped. No other Class 317's were visible.

66793 works the Mountfield, 30th June 2021

 For only the second time - apparently not normally assigned to a 66/6 with its 65 mph maximum speed.

66793 was 29004 Dave Meehan delivered from GMD as works number 20038513-3.
