We'll label this under the "Classic Power" section. First flight 25th May 1960. Last flight - coming up soon. Today was the southern leg of the farewell tour, and these pictures were taken near Barton Stacey, after a pass over Popham, heading for Middle Wallop.

DRS make a delivery to Eastleigh Works, 8th August 2022
37424 (37558) Avro Vulcan XH558+ 66304 DIT 6Z24 09:04 Crewe Coal Sidings (Drs) - Eastleigh Arlington (Zg)
- 4 wagons DRSL 92761 PFA, DRSL 92781 PFA, DRSL 92716 PFA, & DRSL 92766 PFA
- 66304 is expected to soon move to GBRf, and there was some speculation over an Eastleigh Works drop-off, but it returned to Crewe on 9th again led by 37424, with 37716 between them. 37424 was only recently off repair, and is one of the DRS locomotives planned for the sale and lease back deal, for which bidding closed on 29th July.

37424 was delivered from English Electric Vulcan Foundry as D6979 in May 1965. Renumbered 37279 in April 1974. Heavy General Overhaul and conversion to ETH Class 37/4 August 1985 to January 1986.

First noted in my book on 11th August 1987, in the West Highlands, when it worked from Fort William to Mallaig, and return, then south to Glasgow.
