The rather smoky contribution from 33025, as the train climbed through the Test and Dun Valleys, may have been a prelude to a reported turbocharger related failure at Basingstoke, which led to the termination of the return train at Clapham Junction.

Onwards to the causeway. Both of these locomotives were active in the latter months of Virgin Cross-Country loco-hauled, which more or less finished on 19th August 2002.

Touax owned, leased to GBRf, RLS 92556 is a Standard Wagon built KFA, of 1985,now configured as a SALMON. Similar to 92640 seen on 13th July 2021, and 92558 on 13th October 2020.

At the Works, 73962 Dick Mabbutt appears to have been completed for wheelset repairs. It departed to Tonbridge on 29th, along with 73213.
