The last "Plastic Pigs" operating on the LSWR main line? - Monday 29th August

A Class 442 farewell railtour, seen on its return journey, then as empty stock returning to storage at Eastleigh Works. Operated by the Rail Operations Group.

It is understood that the 3rd rail shoes will now be removed from these units, prior to removal to Ely.

442415 arrives at platform 3 at Eastleigh for some crew to leave the train.

MBC is the power car, and is driven by a power package originating in a 4-REP (Class 432) of 1966-67 and 1974.

The final two pictures show the train returning into storage at the works.
