73962 leads after the reversal, which appears to have taken place at Southampton Central, rather than Up Yard.


Generator van 6263, built as BG 81231 by Pressed Steel in 1957 to Lot 30163.


    1256 Plain Line Pattern Recognition vehicle - PLPR3, built as FO 3296 by BREL Derby in 1973 to Lot 3845.

Track Recording Coach 999550, built at BREL Derby for this purpose, as the last Mk 2 coach, to Wagon Lot 3830 in 1976.

Brake Force Runner / Support Coach 9523, built at BREL Derby as a BSO to Lot 30861.

DB Cargo at Eastleigh, 9th April 2025

 

Shiny 66122 was repainted and returned to DB Cargo traffic on 10th March. This loco was one of 5 until recently leased to DRS.

66088 4O39 09:43 Morris Cowley - Eastern Docks.

Original EWS colours on 66013 and the long term parked 66107, which was having its engine run briefly on the afternoon of 5th.

A closer view of 57003 running through platform 3.

Mk2D BFK 17159, built at BREL Derby to Lot 30823 in 1971-72, was being taken to the Works. It previously ran in the DRS fleet.

57003 returned the next day with the repainted 47593 Galloway Princess, which was not being particularly co-operative for my camera.

At last, an opportunity for some better pictures of 70008 in its 'Freightliner 60' scheme, applied at Loughborough in late 2024.


The train was 4M61 12:56 Maritime - Trafford Park.

66790 Louise 6C03 15:14 Eastleigh East Yard - Brockenhurst. The 2nd to 4th wagons are KFAs which were in GBRf intermodal service briefly in 2023.


66790 has been given a patch re-livery for Colas since last noted in January.

50008 on GWR sleeper coach drags, Eastleigh, 5th April 2025

10217 was converted from Mk 3 FO 11051 built to Lot 30878 at BREL Derby in 1975-76. One of three in the GWR fleet.

50008 trundles away from the T&RSMD.

SLEP 10589 built at BREL Derby to Lot 30960 c. 1982 has been refurbished in the past fortnight.

It may be half in Cornish.

Enough time to walk to the station, where 50008 is seen approaching platform 3.

The exterior refinish did not extend to the bogies.
