43129 was involved in a serious incident at Broughty Ferry on 27th December, during Storm Gerrit: STV News - Daily Record. The driver was shaken, and taken to hospital with minor injuries. The train was evacuated, and as set HA20, moved overnight to Dundee, using another HST which came in from Perth. As of 16th January, it remains at Dundee, where now targeted by the natives.
ScotRail HST power cars are understood to be underutilised, so there would seem to be little justification for a repair, especially with 43128 sitting unused at Haymarket.
I saw 43129 twice in the preceding fortnight.
