GERS 97747 - a KTA in profile, Redbridge, 7th July 2020

It seems that a Maritime - Wentloog route will soon be available for W10 gauge 9ft 6in container traffic, which will eliminate the need to use pocket and lowliner wagons. As previously covered, Freightliner are looking to length optimise their trains, so the KTA's may have a finite future on their current lease arrangements.

GERS 97747 was conveniently placed at Redbridge, on 7th July.

97747 was the 48th wagon in the series.

57312 Pig Drags, 10th & 11th July 2020

Friday 10th July: 57312 + 442402 5Q86 10:30 Wolverton Centre Sidings - Bournemouth T&R.S.M.D

57312 leads the train through Eastleigh. The train departed Wolverton about 100 minutes late, and ran so throughout.

Leading DBC coach 77383 of 442402.

MBC to be MBS 62938 with new electrical arrangement, although the new cabinets were fitted before it was moved north on 16th May. Compare with the same coach when new. It was separated from the rest of the unit and retained at Eastleigh for a while from 2018 for the start of electrical work.

Saturday 11th July: 57312 +  442413 5Q70 06:35 Bournemouth T&R.S.M.D - Wolverton Centre Sidings - the train was 190 minutes late leaving Bournemouth. 442413 was in service until the lockdown period.

57312 rounds the curve through the junction at Redbridge.

66541 leading 4O57 13:29 Wentloog - Maritime, Dunbridge, 6th July.

66512 approaches Redbridge with 6V07 12:41 Chichester - Merehead, 7th July.

66532 P&O Nedlloyd Atlas reaches the places other 66s do not reach, having worked in with 4O49 09:31 Basford Hall - Maritime.
