70009, currently leased to Colas, is not expected to return to the Freightliner Heavy Haul fleet, which will be 18 units ahead of the company transaction.

Class 455s now seem to be heading to Derby for disposal, as Unimetals' at Newport is in liquidation. 455731 was one of a pair moved on 24th, seen here at Eastleigh Works when being equipped with a Vossloh Kiepe traction package, 23rd September 2016.

59001 is receiving a heavy exam at Merehead, expected to be out of traffic until April period. Some suggestion that it will return in the Yeoman colours of 1986. It has been moved to the DDII pool (Heavy Haul Class 59).
Active Freightliner Class 70 locomotives have been allocated to the DDHH pool (Heavy Haul Class 70).
66701 - 66722, leased from Eversholt are expected to be released by GBRf once the Class 99 fleet is into traffic. The expected destination for them is Colas, to displace the Class 56 fleet.
Recently arrived 08454 was shunting. New from Derby on 19th December 1958 as D3569, first allocated to 17B Burton.
47818 has lost a number of parts since I last half-decently photographed it in 2019. New as D1917 from Brush, Loughborough in December 1965, later 47240 and 47663.
LSL Buffet Standard 10416 has been at the Works since January 2024. Completed at BREL Derby as FO M11035 as part of Lot 30875 in 1975-76.
RFM 10211 formerly in the DB Cargo Company Train, which arrived in July to support the Britannic Explorer project. Originally HST TRUK 40510 built at BREL DErby to Lot 30884 in 1977, running in 253010, then 254010.
Ermewa JNA 81.70.5500.029-0 has arrived as part of ongoing overhaul work of these 10 year old wagons. This example more recently recorded in Hindlow Quarry flows.
Blue Islands, a fixture over Eastleigh for the past 20 years or so, ceased operations on 14th November.
G-ISLD, a BAe Jetstream 31, departing as SI659 to Guernsey, 10th July 2014. New in 1991 to American Eagle, flew for Blue Islands January 2006 to January 2015.
G-ISLI, an ATR72-500, flight SI256 from Guernsey, 29th May 2015. This aircraft was new to American Eagle in October 1997, and came to Blue Islands in December 2013, before coming out of service in January 2019. Broken up in 2022.
ATR42-320 G-ISLH arriving with SI234 from Guernsey on 24th February 2017. This February 1990 aircraft flew for Blue Islands from August 2013 to January 2022, and was scrapped in December 2023.
In the 2019 period, Blue Island operated as an integrated partner with FlyBe, although this ceased with the latter's demise in March 2020. G-ISLL, an ATR72-500, arriving as SI658 from Jersey on 31st May 2019. New to Air Tahiti in November 2002, and joined Blue Islands in January 2017, last fliying for them from Bristol - Guernsey on 14th November.
Some aircraft operated in a white scheme in this period. ATR72-500 G-ISLN arriving as SI270 from Guernsey on 31st May 2019. G-ISLN was new to Arkia in December 2009, and arrived at Blue Islands in February 2019. Last flight for Blue Islands from Bristol - Jersey on 11th November.
The final Blue Islands scheme followed in 2020, ATR72-500 G-ISLK seen arriving as SI370 from Jersey on 15th July 2020. G-ISLK was new to Air Dolomiti in March 2000, then flew for Asian Wings of Myanmar, before joining Blue Islands in October 2016. Retired from Blue Islands in May 2024, and later broken up.
The most recent delivery was ATR72-600 G-ISLP, seen arriving as SI628 from Guernsey on 23rd June 2025. This aircraft was new to Avianca Guatemala in July 2014, delivered to Blue Islands in June 2025, and last flew for them as a hire to Aurigny from Gatwick - Guernsey on 14th November.
