802101 came onto Eastleigh Works on 3rd June, and appears to be close to completion of cosmetic work.


08696 is currently being run-in around the Works. 59003 YEOMAN HIGHLANDER is seen tucked away.

The 'Britannic Explorer' is in the yards, coupled to a GBRf Class 66, thought to be 66744, following its return from Victoria on Friday 13th. The dedicated Class 66s are expected to be 66744 and 66745, which like the Royal Scotsman pair, were originally delivered to DRS, in this case as 66408 and 66409.

37409 makes its arrival at Eastleigh, 17th June 2025

37409 makes its way through the southern end of platform 3.

37409 was delivered as D6970 from Vulcan Foundry, Newton-le-willows on 4th March 1965, later renumbered to 37270, and overhauled to 37409 in September 1985.

Deltic Preservation Society Shed, Barrow Hill, 7th June 2025

 
55015 TULYAR, seen outside while approaching the shed. All three DPS Deltics are expected at the forthcoming Railway 200 Greatest Gathering event.

55009 ALYCIDON was inside the door. Newly repainted and ready for the Moors Line Diesel Gala 12th - 15th June, followed by Keighley & Worth Valley 19th - 22nd June. On 12th December 1981 I rode a farewell tour to Aberdeen with this locomotive.

66710 has been turned out in a 'Railway 200' scheme, seen here with the crest of the 1923 - 1948 LMS nearest to the camera, and the LNER at the far end.


On the other side, that of the Southern Railway is closer to the camera, thus the GWR is at the far end. 18015 and 18014 lie beyond.


800110 came onto the Works on 17th February, and has received the full modification, now apparently complete.
