37510 Orion was delivered from Vulcan Foundry, as D6812, on 13th February 1963. Renumbered 37112 in February 1974. Heavy General Overhaul at Crewe February to June 1986, emerging as 37510 later running in Intercity Swallow colours. Withdrawn in June 1999, and was in France from August 1999 to October 2000. Sold to Harry Needle in May 2003, who overhauled it fror DRS at Barrow Hill, re-entering traffic in 2006. Stored again at Barrow Hill from March 2012, until sold to Europhoenix in 2016, returning to traffic with Rail Operations Group in January 2020.

360107 was originally delivered from Siemens in February 2003 and is part of the Desiro family.

70816 had returned from Bescot and Hinksey.

70816 on the rear. Later in the day it worked to Hinksey, then on to Bescot, returning via Hinksey to Eastleigh on Saturday.


66536 + 66523 0O45 10:07 Westbury - Maritime, which ran after 0O41. 66536 worked on to Eastleigh Yard and was at Yeovil on Saturday.

73212 Fiona was brought over from St Leonards on 19th, the most likely reason is wheelset repairs. The blue 08 seems to be a new arrival, not yet identifiable. Answers on a postcard, please. UPDATE, with thanks to Joe L, it is 08954, which arrived on 22nd June from Longsight for repairs.

769928 appears to have acquired an upper marker light, when compared with 12th October.

Balfour Beatty FEA-D 640573 is essentially an intermodal spine wagon, built by Wagony Swidnicaa in Poland in 2003-04. It has a pair 640574, and these have been used as sleeper carriers in a track renewal train. TIPH 78254, a 'TPA' (officially a TDA) lies behind.

142003 has been rubbed down since last winter, but protective plastic has gone. A magazine reported that 142003 + 142007 have been sold to Locomotive Services, 142032 + 142089 have been stripped and await disposal, and 142014 + 142056 could be considered for sale. Class 360 coaches lie behind.

701031 (delivered 7th May), 701023 (29th March) and 701028 (28th April). Now a serious underutilisation of resources.

Rail treatment may have been increased. as two MPVs were seen close in time, this is DR98915 running as VVR (a VAR that came through the VSTP system) 07:00 Totton Yard - Laverstock - Basingstoke - Totton - Salisbury(?) - Totton.

66725 SUNDERLAND passing as 0V40 14:05 Eastleigh - Westbury. 59003 continues to be confined in Eastleigh.

66531 running 80 minutes late into the dusk with 4M65 1345 Maritime - Lawley Street.

57601 Windsor Castle approaches the station with 5Z57 13:44 Winchester - Eastleigh

Unfortunately, the train ran through platform 3, with 57601 now past the platforms.

57313 Scarborough Castle on the rear. The train came out of the depot as it came in, so 57313 led the return.
