A relative regular on the Cruise Saver, 47712 is reported by WNXX to have been placed in pool XHSS for storage. At Eastleigh last Saturday it was noticed to be rather smoky.

Also, I understand that 47818 has a no-ETH restriction, which follows from its recent failure at Perth.

Update 27th August: I understand that 47712 required repairs to engine and wheelsets, and with acquisition of 47853 this was a better business case to put through repair.

 47712 leads the stock out of the sidings.

 47818 appears to have been recovered from its failure at Perth on Monday. It had worked south from Carlisle to Crewe on Thursday.
