Two pictures of 44871 passing Romsey with 1Z85 16:35 Bristol - Three Bridges. The train was running 35 minutes late, understood related to dragging brakes under the kitchen car, which was rectified after at a stop at Kimbridge.
44871 carries a steampipe casing originally built at Vulcan Foundry for 5020 - 5029. This has a large notch which can be seen above the cylinder end. The locomotive was in this condition in 1968.

5th June 2010 - Remembering 47150 and 47289

47150 and 47289, latterly owned by Harry Needle, were removed by truck in the past week from Crewe to TJ Thomson at Stockton for disposal. Here we see them in their declining years with Freightliner.
