TV SERIES ON MERIDIAN - 'ALONG THESE LINES'
Almost 45 years to the day
after the Beeching Report recommended reshaping Britain’s
railways, a new regional series for ITV Meridian explores the
disused tracks of the South and South-East of England.
In the eight-part series ‘Along These Lines’, starting
on Sunday at 6pm from 13th April 2008, presenter Hannah
Shellswell travels former railway lines that were closed during
the 1960s. Along the way, she meets local people and investigates
the history of the region.
