Saturday morning at Maritime, 26th September. 66516 released the wagons below and then proceeded to the refuelling point.
UASC and APL containers on KFA RLS 92547 (Standard Wagon, 1985). RLS was a prefix for Tiphook Rail, now part of GE Capital. Standard Wagon closed in 1992.
KTA pocket container wagon GERS 97762 (GE Capital owned, Arbel Fauvet, Douai 1988) with a Hapag-Lloyd container.
08785 was shunting, with various FLA spine chassis in the background (6061xx series).

A note for planespotters - 747-4Q8 G-VFAB Lady Penelope has been retired after arrival at LHR on 23rd, and was delivered from LGW to Goodyear, AZ on 26th September, for "parting out".

47830 at Eastleigh, 18th September 2015

Freightliner owned 47830 5Z47 18:37 Eastleigh - Derby with barrier coaches 6376 and 6377 for use by Rail Operations Group.

D1645 (December 1965) -> 47061 (April 1974) -> 47649 (February 1986) -> 47830 (June 1989). I first saw the locomotive in Edinburgh on 17th May 1979,

47830 - archive pictures

With 47830 seen at Eastleigh this week, a reflective moment. The locomotive was new on 24th December 1965 from BR Crewe.

Par, 23rd April 2001. This was a shuttle which ran within Cornwall that week (Liskeard - Penzance) as civil engineering took place.
Penzance, 24th April 2001. 47830 reversed the stock to a location where it could run around.
Southampton Maritime, 2nd December 2007. At this time the locomotive was mainly used for Class 442 moves. It arrived on 30th November, dragged in 4O11 by 66517. Worked 5Z80 09:45 Eastleigh - Wolverton on Monday 3rd with 2412 + 2414 which had shoes removed.

47813 into storage, 17th September 2015

70808 with 6O31 at Romsey, 11th September ....
.... with surprise DBS 66050 EWS Energy on the rear. This has earlier been dragged to Eastleigh from Westbury as 0O41, and must have worked back there on 6V41 (?). Used for engineering trains from Eastleigh over the weekend.

ASDO (Automatic Selective Door Opening) passive device to manage door opening if train is in non-optimal position at the platform. The Hima Sella Tracklink III system.

34067 Tangmere leads at Redbridge on the last working of the 2015 season. Tangmere was withdrawn from its next two booked workings, for reasons not clearly known.

59001 YEOMAN ENDEAVOUR has the bell end facing at Eastleigh Works, where it arrived on 3rd.
66708 Jayne is the last original colour scheme 66/7, with the exception of 66701 which will retain these colours. Expect this one to be repainted soon, having arrived in the Eastleigh area.
66003  4V42 18:25 EasternDocks- Cowley.
66201 6O42 1133 Halewood - Eastern Docks, loaded with what I think are Range Rover Evoque vehicles.
Last vehicle was 23 87 4384 024-7 (IPA - 4 wheeled Covered Single Deck Car Transporter).

34067 5Z60 18:41 Eastleigh - Depot Loop - Southall - loco went to Depot Loop, but did not complete passage, run-round then performed at the station.

"We've just been told on the train that Tangmere will be detached at Eastleigh on the return journey. Diesel only from there to Three Bridges. Late change by Network Rail as engineering works tonight would prevent Tangmere getting back to Southall in time." National Preservation Forum

47832 weaves across the points to access platform 2 at Eastleigh.
34067 + support coach leave for the depot loop, but they returned to platform 3.

"The Royal Wessex" Three Bridges to Weymouth, Saturday 5th September 2015

Passing through St Denys and approaching Horseshoe Bridge.
There was a level crossing at this site before Horseshoe Bridge was built in 1904, planned for trams which never actually used the route.
FO 99125 JESSICA (3113) from Lot 30697 (Swindon, January 1963). Sold Pullman Rail in November 1984, and onwards to West Coast from June 1993.
47832 back in the area for the second time in four days.
