Kent & East Sussex Railway, 23rd October 2011

A day spent on the Kent & East Sussex Railway, meandering from Tenterden to Bodiam in sunny weather.

32670 (LBSCR 70 Poplar, K&ESR 3 Bodiam) in winterised condition at Rolvenden. A performer on the Hayling Island branch in the 1950s-60s, but has spent most of the past century on K&ESR, being sold to there in 1901, and returning again in 1964.
23 Holman F Stephens brings the 'Wealden Pullman' into Rolvenden from Tenterden.
Class 108 50971 passes over the A-road level crossing at Rolvenden. In the 70s and 80s this was allocated to NH (Newton Heath)
